Opening sequence of Scream 4 with a look into Film within film concept.

One of the main features of our opening sequence is the film with in a film concept at the beginning. This concept can be similarly seen at the start of the Scream films, they start their films off with a shot clip similar to the overall intent of the film it's self to establish an atmosphere. We used this concept in our own first 2 minutes so that we could introduce the intention of a zombie film.

This concept has been carried on throughout the scream movies and has been featured in the newest film. Below is a clip of the opening movie within a movie part off the film.
